I’m Maxime, visual artist, graphic designer and film director.
Passionate about cinema, comics and video games, I started by making my first self-taught short films before joining the art and media school e|m|a Fructidor in Chalon sur Saône, from 2014 to 2019.
My work then developed itself through three mediums : drawing on the one hand, sculpture and video on the other.
I was looking to create imaginary landscapes to serve as backdrops for my films, and so I started making sculptures, some of which borrowed the codes of the model, the film set, and some of which were inspired by natural processes.

In 2017, I went to the art school in Kassel, Germany, as part of my Master’s degree, where I discovered and experimented with 2D animation and stop motion techniques and made my first animation short film called “Collapse”.
From 2019 to 2020 , after my Master’s degree I’m going to Kassel again to make my second animation short film “Expand”.

In 2021 I won the JUMP scheme, during which I work as a draughtsman in a multidisciplinary group that brings together music, theatre and the visual arts.
In the same year, I am doing an online training course with the STUDI school, entitled “Digital Marketing Manager”, which allows me to work as a digital and video communication assistant at the Jazz à Tours music school and for which I create the video content in real shots (interviews, recordings of concerts, musical residencies) for social networks and the web.

From January to March 2024, I made my first prototype of a video game, “Hostile Ground”, during a continuous training in the 3D real-time software Unity at Waide-Somme, the school of 2D-3D animation and video game.
I was able to discover and work on every step of the creation of a video game and a film, which allows me to have a double hat as a graphic designer and director with an overall vision of the production processes for these two areas and consolidate my desire to give life and concretize universes.
To this end, I specialize in creating environments and sets for animation films and video games, both through my personal practice and self-training in the graphic creation software suite Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Painter, Designer), in video editing (Premiere Pro), in Motion Design (After Effects) and in 3D (Blender, Maya, ZBrush).

I am also working as an independent director on my third 2D animated short film called “Invaded”.
